Welcome to Madelyn and Bill’s Emerson Park engagement photos blog post! You may not be able to tell by these warm, sunny photos but these were taken Thanksgiving weekend… and it was about 35 degrees out!
Autumn Leaves
Madelyn and Bill now live in North Carolina so the temperature felt extra cold to them but they were total troopers for their session!
Especially if you consider how windy it always is at the lake!
But when I arrived at Emerson Park for their engagement photos I was so happy to see that there were still a few leaves on the trees. Not only did we have sunshine but we had some leaves, making the trees seem so much less bare!
I just love this one of Madelyn’s diamond engagement ring!
Being neighbors their whole lives, Madelyn and Bill have known each other since they were 3 and 5 years old! That friendship turned into something more during their college years when they started dating!
Bill proposed to Madelyn when they were at home one day. He proposed last December one day when they were baking Christmas cookies. He made a cookie into a diamond ring shape and proceeded to ask her if she’d rather have a ring shaped cookie or an actual ring! I love it!
Just check out the sunshine in their photos! If you’ve lived long in Syracuse, NY, you know that once November hits, sunny days are rare. I was so happy for these two that they got sun!
The Family
As you can see, Bill and Madelyn had a little girl just a few short months ago! I loved that they brought her to their session so we could get a few of her… and their dog!
Just look at those adorable cheeks!
I can’t wait to see what little Miss E will be wearing on their wedding day!
The Emerson Park Pavilion
We also did a few photos around the pavilion at Emerson Park for their engagement photos! I love to use both nature as well as architecture during an engagement session so that it adds visual variety in their final galleries!
Bill and Madelyn both grew up in Auburn though like I mentioned, they are now live out of state. They came back to town for Thanksgiving which is why we scheduled their session that week!
Canalside at Emerson
These two will be back on the blog in January after their New Year’s Day wedding!
They’ll be holding their wedding ceremony at The Point and their reception at the Springside Inn! Maybe we’ll have some magical snow and sunshine that day too!
