Springside Inn & The Point Wedding | Madelyn & Bill

Epic night time shot of bride and groom kissing with backlighting and rain and cafe lights at Springside Inn in Auburn NY by Syracuse photographer

Welcome to Bill and Madelyn Springside Inn and The Point wedding blog post! Their New Year’s Day wedding is one they won’t soon forget! 1/1/22 is just one of those “stick in your memory” dates!

Bride Getting Ready

Madelyn’s wedding dress was SO gorgeous! She got ready in the Bridal Suite of the Springside Inn in Auburn NY and these white pillars seemed to be the perfect place to hang her dress for a picture!

Their wedding colors were white and silver! I just loved how classy these neutral colors looked together!

Oh my gosh, could Madelyn look any cuter in these pictures?!

The bride and bridesmaid’s bouquets as well as the other flowers at the ceremony and reception were arranged by Foley Florist in Auburn, NY!

Look at the lace detail on this dress!

This is literally one of my FAVORITE photos from Madelyn and Bill’s Springside Inn and The Point wedding because it just shows the joy that surrounded their day!

Here is Madelyn and Bill’s sweet little girl! I loved her adorable little white dress, just like mommy’s!

Madelyn and Bill have been living in North Carolina, so Madelyn’s mom, Mindy had been doing SO much of the “boots on the ground” planning for their wedding!

Groom Getting Ready

I love these cuff links that Madelyn got for Bill!

In his tux, all ready to get married, here’s Bill, the Groom!

The First Look

I just love the emotions on Bill and Madelyn’s face for their First Look! I was so glad they chose to see each other before the ceremony. First of all, the sun set at 4pm, which is the time that the ceremony started. If they had waited to do portraits until after the ceremony, the sun would gone down and there would have been no light. Also, the weather forecast said the rain was going to hold off until 4pm, and hold off it did! It definitely rained later that night though (which made for some EPIC night time shots!)

The way Madelyn looks at Bill…

Bride and Groom Portraits

These two grew up living right next to each other as neighbors. Being 3 and 5 years old, they’ve known each other almost their whole lives!

It wasn’t until they were in college did they started dating!

I can tell that Bill just adores Madelyn!

Even though there wasn’t any snow on the ground for their wedding, I still loved that Springside Inn had these evergreen trees and hanging cafe lights that added so much visual interest to their wedding pictures!

Another thing that I love about the look and feel of a Springside Inn and The Point wedding are the woods and grove that surround the Inn. Set back a bit from Owasco Lake, its as if the Inn is tucked neatly into the trees!

I just love these bridal portraits of Madelyn!

The look of laughter on Bill’s face in the photo below… priceless!

Wedding Pictures at Springside’s The Point

After we had finished doing wedding pictures at Springside Inn, we drove down to The Point at Sand Beach which is the chapel that Bill and Madelyn had their wedding ceremony!

I would just love to know the history of this little church and all the years it has seen in Auburn, NY!

Ann Crowley of Bellabrations Event Planning was Madelyn and Bill’s wedding planner and coordinator!

Bridal Party Portraits

Back at Springside, we did more pictures with their full wedding party, the bridesmaids and groomsmen!

Family Portraits

The other thing we did before the wedding ceremony at the Point at Sand Beach were ALL the family portraits, including the ones of Bill, Madelyn and their little girl! I think the one below is my favorite of her! If I remember right, she was smiling at Grandpa who was standing right next to me! Grandpas are the best!

Wedding Ceremony at Springside’s The Point

Even though it was cold outside, the Point at Sand Beach was nice and warm and was the perfect spot for a wedding ceremony!

Waiting for his bride (and her mommy) to come down the aisle (although I think the ceiling fans might have been a bit more intriguing to her at that moment!)

I love that Madelyn had both of her parents walk her down the aisle.

The night before the wedding, Madelyn and Bill’s officiant called to let them know that he was sick and couldn’t make it to the wedding. One of Madelyn’s bridesmaids Emily stepped up and married them, becoming ordained the night before!

The handing off of the rings!

During the ceremony, I had time to run into the lobby of the church and get a picture of Madelyn and Bill framed by this winter greenery!

The Unity Sand…

… and the kiss!

Reception Details at Springside Inn

Ann, their wedding planner as well as Chris at Springside made an amazing team in designing and decorating their reception space for an elegant and beautiful vibe!

Check out these details! Like I said, so elegant!

Let the party begin!

Billy and Madelyn had quite an epic First Dance, complete with spins, dips and lots of awesome moves in between!

The Father Daughter dance…

… and the Mother Son Dance.

Then Bill and Madelyn had a dance with their little girl to Taylor Swift’s song “Never Grow Up”. I’d like to tell you that this photographer mommy held it together during their dance as I thought of my own little girl but that just wouldn’t be the truth. So sweet.

Speeches by Madelyn’s Parents, Best Man and Maid of Honor!

Ok, this AMAZING looking cake was made by The Patisserie in Skaneateles. I will also tell you that it tasted just as incredible as it looked.

They also had a whole spread of desserts after they had cut the cake. So beautiful!

This literally is the most creative “seating chart” I think I’ve ever seen. This wall held champagne glasses and on top of these glasses were the names of the guests and where they were sitting. After the glasses had been taken, this wall doubled as a photo booth! Such a fun and creative idea!

Their DJ was Mike Sozda and he kept the dance floor hoppin’!

Even though it was cold and raining, I was SO glad that Madelyn and Bill were willing to come outside and do a few “Happily Ever After” photos! The magic between the twinkle lights, the rain drops that were lit up and Bill and Madelyn’s kiss… the perfect way to end the night.

Thank you, Madelyn and Bill, for allowing Andrew and I the opportunity to celebrate with you all! What a great way to spend New Years Day! We wish you both the very best in this new chapter of your lives together!
