Bride’s Details
If you’ve ever considered having a golf course wedding, this blog might convince you that it’s the right decision! Welcome to Mike and Savannah’s golf course wedding blog post!
First off, you HAVE to check out Savannah’s gorgeous wedding dress! On the hanger it looks pretty but wait until you see it on her!
She also had some really classy wedding details including her shoes, diamond engagement ring and bands, wedding bouquet, invitation and jewelry!
Bride Getting Ready
Savannah got ready surrounded by her mom, sister and girlfriends in the Bridal Suite at this golf course!
Don’t you just love these “His and Her’s Vow Books”?!
Bridal Portraits on Golf Course
We had the amazing luxury of some extra time in the morning before the church ceremony to do Bridal Portraits of Savannah at this golf course wedding! In fact, when we initially went outside, it was sprinkling but I was so grateful when it cleared up just moments later and we were able to head out for some stunning pictures of Savannah!
Savannah’s hair and makeup was expertly done by Elan Studio!
And her wedding dress is by Heart to Heart Bride!
I love this one that Andrew took of her!
Like I said, her dress looked pretty on the hanger but ON her it looked AMAZING! Great choice girl!
Groom Portraits on Golf Course
And here’s Mike!… suspenders and all, ready to get married!
Mike was actually the one to contact me over two years ago. He had emailed me and asked if I photographed proposals! I quickly said “absolutely!” and was so honored to be there when he popped the question to Savannah. See their proposal blog here!
Here’s Josh Barnum, their videographer doing his thing! If you need a videographer in CNY, make sure you check out his work! He was so fun to work with!
Church Ceremony
Without a First Look, Mike and Savannah saw each other for the first time at the altar at the church. I love the smile on Mike’s face…
… and on Savannah’s!
Exchanging the wedding rings…
… and sharing a kiss at the altar!
I LOVE this dip kiss they did part way down the aisle!
Their grand exit, bubbles and all, from the church.
Because the church had such a grand exterior, we made sure to do a few portraits of them right there on the steps. I love how they turned out.
Bridal Party
Now if you’re having a golf course wedding, you might as well take your bridal party photos back there! Here’s the whole group!
I just could not leave this one out of Savannah’s brother holding her flowers!!!
I also love the color “Chianti” of these bridesmaids dresses from David’s Bridal!
These amazing flowers were done by Whistlestop Florist!
Bride & Groom Portraits
Now comes probably my favorite part of photographing weddings… the Bride and Groom portraits! I also had a lot of fun with Mike and Savannah as this was technically their 3rd portrait session with me! Not only did we do pictures together on the day that Mike proposed, but a year later we also did an engagement session that you can find here!
Savannah chose a cathedral length, light veil so we could have some fun with it for photos! I love how the veil frames these two in the picture below.
The reason I blogged so many of their portraits is because I just could not choose a few! They’re all my favorites!
And this ring shot!… not going to lie, I did not come up with this one! Josh Barnum set this one up! If you’re looking for someone who not only knows his craft well but can also be a guide for you throughout your day, call Josh!
Golf Course Wedding Reception
All ready to party!
Seriously, the way Mike looks at Savannah I can tell he just adores her!
Such a sweet Mother Son dance…
… and a Father Daughter dance.
Speeches
I love both the sentimental as well as the hilarious parts of the speeches given by Savannah’s sister, the Maid of Honor and by Mike’s friend, the Best Man!
And their fur babies on the wedding cake!
When I saw Savannah’s grandma get out on the dance floor with her my heart just melted. These sweet moments are ones that will always be cherished.
The Mother of the Groom was also ready to party!
Night Time Photos
At the end of the night when we went out to do a few night time photos we ended up running into a fireworks show!!! Like WHAAAAT?! How cool is that?! So OF COURSE we got photos of them with the fireworks!
Mike and Savannah, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of so many big moments in your lives together! I wish you both a lifetime of love, patience, fun, forgiveness and laughter together!
And thank YOU for coming by to check out their golf course wedding blog post! If you’d like to see more of my wedding work you can find it here or shoot me a message! I’d love to hear from you!
