Bridal Details & Getting Ready
Welcome to Chelsea and Joe’s autumn barn wedding at Old Hickory Farm! Chelsea’s invitation, florals and bridal details set up their day and wedding theme so well!
Chelsea’s wedding gown and lace train were dreamy! Just wait until you see the pictures of her in it!
I loved the color of Chelsea’s burnt orange ring box but what I thought was really special was her ladybug earrings. The day of the wedding, there were tons of ladybugs flying around but the reason Chelsea she had wore them was in honor of her grandma whom she called Ladybug. Such a sweet way to remember her by.
Just check out the detail on the back of her dress!

Love these sharp details captured by Andrew!
Here’s Joe!… all ready to get married!
Bride & Groom First Look
Chelsea and Joe originally weren’t going to do a First Look but I am SO glad they did. Right before Chelsea walked down the aisle, one of Joe’s family members asked if he was nervous and looked right at her and said, “no!” Once they had seen each other, the pressure was off, we had so much time to do photos of them, and they were able to attend part of Cocktail Hour!
Old Hickory Farm is a beautiful piece of property with lots of areas for great photos! When I saw these few burnt orange trees near the barn and the beautiful light there, I knew I had to do some of their portraits there! It fit with the color theme of the wedding so well!
I love Chelsea’s smile in this one so much!…
… and Joe’s smile here!
Chelsea’s viel, with minimal beading and lace detail made it light and perfect for flying in the wind!
Chelsea’s laugh!… my favorite!
These florals are by Oops a Daisy in Auburn, NY! They were a dream for me to work with as they had extra pieces of greenery and pampas grass for me to use in my detail pictures at the top of the blog! Not to mention the bouquets were just gorgeous!
Chelsea’s (and her bridesmaid’s) hair and makeup was done by Kansas and Courtney from The Mane Strand!
Like I said, check out the lace train on her dress! I just can’t get over it!
Here are the groomsmen!…
… and the bridesmaids!
I love this one of the bridesmaids!
And you know, you and your bridal party SHOULD have fun! The wedding day should be fun and the PHOTOS should be fun… not a drag!
Ceremony at Old Hickory’s Pond
Can I just say how much I LOVE this swag (do you call it a swag?) on her wedding arch?! Between the florals, the burnt orange drapery and the swag, it was perfectly gorgeous for an autumn barn wedding with a hint of coziness.
The Flower Girl!
And the bride herself!
I now pronounce you husband and wife!
Also, love this impromptu dip kiss they did as they were coming down the aisle! Andrew totally caught this one for me!

Reception Details
Chelsea and Joe’s wedding details were absolutely perfect for their autumn barn wedding! They tied in the burnt orange with the pampas grass and everything so flawlessly!
The wedding cake was done by Cakes by Michele!
This shot of the Sweetheart Table with the bistro lights and chandeliers at the barn is one of my favorite detail shots!
The Reception!
Chelsea and Joe entered their reception to lots of fanfare! Greg Humphries better known as DJ Hump (one of the best IMO!) was their DJ for the night!

It’s party time!
Here’s Greg working his magic! Not only is he an amazing emcee but he also is a great mixer! He doesn’t just press play, no, he mixes songs together seamlessly! Truly talented!
Chelsea and Joe chose to do a Sparkler Exit with just their bridal party (so the whole dance party inside didn’t die!). I love the result!
Congratulations to you both, Chelsea and Joe! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day and capture the memories of your wedding day!
