I met this adorable couple long before their Skaneateles engagement photos session! These two were tearing it up on the dance floor at their friend’s wedding (that I was photographing) and having the time of their lives. Over the beat of the loud music and flashing lights, Lauren and Tyler told me that they were recently engaged and that they’d love to chat with me about shooting their wedding!
Shotwell Memorial Park
Tyler and Lauren loved the idea of doing their engagement photos in Skaneateles by the water. Thankfully the trees around here finally started to bud and turn green so that we had more of a summer feel to their photos!
Docks on Skaneateles Lake
Side note, I LOVED the two dresses that Lauren chose for their session!… the light pinks, the whites, the florals! I even told Lauren that when I saw them. And just so Tyler didn’t feel left out, I told him that he looked adorable too!
Lauren and Tyler are both phys ed teachers and met while coaching soccer! You can see how much fun they have together!
At first I tried to talk these two into finding a beach to do session at, but there’s something that feels so… nostalgic about doing Skaneateles engagement photos. I love this photo of them below with the docks and the boats in the background!
Lauren had a lot of great ideas for props and things she wanted to include in their session! One of them was popping a bottle of champagne! I loved their expressions and what ensued after the bottle was opened!
Someone had given them wine glasses with their last name on them! I loved it!
Downtown Skaneateles
Originally we weren’t planning on shooting by the Sherwood Inn. But Lauren and I both LOVED those white blossoms and the light in that spot was PERFECT! I think this next set of Skaneateles engagement photos are my favorite from the whole session!
Lauren had this cute jean jacket customized with her married last name and their wedding date on the collar!
We also made a side trip to Doug’s Fish Fry for ice cream! One of my favorite places to go for a treat!
We also made a detour to the Elephant and the Dove, where Lauren and Tyler went on their first official date!
Tyler and Lauren, I am so excited for your wedding at Emerson Park in July! I’m truly looking forward to getting to know you guys better as I plan, prep and experience your wedding day with you! It’ll be here before you know it!
Thanks so much for swinging by to check out Lauren and Tyler’s Skaneateles engagement photos blog post! If you like what you see, check out my other engagement or wedding work or shoot me an email here! I’d love to hear from you!

All I can is, GREAT WORK!
Tyler’s Grandmother (Monica) and I enjoyed
going through the photos over dinner.
Tyler and Lauren are super photogenic, aren’t they? Looking forward to meeting both of you at the wedding in July!
