I was so excited when one of my old friends Lindsey and her fiance Kyle booked me for their wedding! She chose to do their engagement photos at their family barn not far from Syracuse where she grew up. I was also really good friends with one of her brothers growing up though I hadn’t ever been on their property. I had driven by there hundereds of times but didn’t know how many great photos spots there was there!
I just love the smiles!
Whether its beside a barn or in wide open country fields, these are places where I love to shoot engagement photos! It just feels so much like autumn!
We also did some engagement pictures in front of the barn there! The coolest thing is that the barn has two different silos… one metal and one brick which made for some really cool backgrounds!
One of the coolest aspects of their property is a path from one field to the other surrounded by this tall reed like grass. It made just the perfect spot for some walking shots as well as great “lead lines” to bring your eyes right to Lindsey and Kyle!
Lindsey and Kyle are 100% country people! I had to chuckle, because throughout the session, Kyle kept looking around for deer in the nearby fields and thinking about hunting!
These two are getting married right here on their family farm next August and I can’t wait to capture their wedding memories!
