New Smyrna Beach Sand Dunes

A warm, sunny welcome to Roland and Megan’s New Smyrna Beach Engagement photos blog post! These two are just adorable together!

Roland and Megan crossed paths through a mutual group of friends, and their acquaintance blossomed into a friendship. Their friendship evolved into affection, and that affection quickly moved into something far deeper and meaningful.

At the Sunset Cafe in Cocoa Beach, as the sun painted the sky with color, Roland chose that moment to ask Megan one of the most important questions he’d ask in his entire life: “Will you marry me?”

In fact, Roland designed Megan’s ring all on his own, from the delicate weave of the band to the shape of the diamond!

These two drove all the way up from Brevard County to do their New Smyrna Beach engagement photos!

We had the most incredible evening and weather for their engagement photos! I just love their photos in the sand dunes!

Grayce K. Barck North Beach Park

One of my favorite spots to take people when we do beach photo sessions is Grayce K. Barck North Beach Park. Not only does it have ocean and sand, of course, but it also has sand dunes (not every spot along the ocean does!), a boardwalk type area as well as a shaded spot with abundant tropical foliage. This is where we did part of their New Smyrna Beach engagement photos!

The day Roland proposed, Megan knew something felt a little off, but wasn’t exactly sure what it was. She was still very surprised when Roland pulled out the ring!

As the sun began to go down, we had the opportunity to get some romantic New Smyrna Beach engagement photos. I just love these!

Playing a little game of “Kiss Tag”!

You can tell these two have so much fun together! I loved seeing their dynamic, as Roland took the lead a few times during their session and Megan trusted his fun-loving personality and went along with it!

There were a few times the waves snuck up on them!

This one!… one of my very favorites of the session!

As the sun made its way behind the clouds, we had the chance to get a few more sweet photos of them!

So. Much. Fun!

Roland and Megan, thank you for driving up north for your beach engagement session! You both were so much fun and truly enjoyed spending the evening with you! I wish you lots of luck with your wedding planning!
