Barn Wedding | Taylor & Ryan

Bride and groom stand in field at Florida barn wedding with pink and purple sunset behind them

Barn weddings at Old Hickory Farm are always beautiful, and Taylor and Ryan’s was no exception. Welcome to their wedding blog post!

Bride’s Details

I seriously loved the array of “bridal details” that Taylor had!… from her invitation suite, the rings PLUS her adorable ring box, the earrings, her bridal bouquet, her shoes and Burberry perfume! And because they were all similar colors, they photographed so well together!

Taylor’s wedding dress came from Mirror Mirror Bridal in Baldwinsville, NY!

Loved her earrings!

If you’d like to see a behind the scenes time lapse on how I get all my detail shots on a wedding day, check it out on Instagram here!

Bride Getting Ready

Taylor’s mom helped her get in her wedding dress! Barn weddings at Old Hickory Farm are amazing because they not only have a ceremony and reception site, but also a bridal suite, a place for the groomsmen to get ready as well as a house to rent! For these shots, we stepped just outside the Bridal Suite at Old Hickory Farm to use the porch of the house!

Taylor’s Burberry “Her” perfume was just the perfect “accessory” for her elegant wedding day and dress!

First Look with Dad and Brothers

One thing that Taylor wanted that I’ve not done before is a First Look not only with her dad, but with her two brothers as well! I thought that was such a sweet idea and really spoke to how close knit their family is!

Bride and Bridesmaids Photos

This is the kind of shot you can only get at a barn wedding! I loved this one with the barn doors!

Not only do I like how these cherry wood barn doors look but I also like that you can see the twinkle lights through the windows INSIDE the barn in the photo to the left!

Taylor and her amazing smile and laugh! This is one of my favorites!

The flowers and Taylor’s bridal bouquet were arranged by Smiley’s Florist in Auburn and I thought they were gorgeous!

Here are Taylor’s bridesmaids! I loved that two of them were Ryan’s sisters and third is dating Taylor’s brother! Such a tight knit group!

When I saw this Rose of Sharon bush with the purple flowers on it, I KNEW we had to use it as a background for some portraits of Taylor! Isn’t she gorgeous?!

This is one of my favorites from the whole day of Taylor!

Groom & Groomsmen Portraits

Here are a few of Ryan’s details!

Here’s the handsome groom himself!

The stripes on the tie along with his navy blue tux looked so sharp together!

Ryan and his groomsmen along the split rail fence!

Barn Wedding Ceremony

Here is Ryan and Taylor’s uncle (their officiant!) waiting for the ceremony to begin!

The arbor out at the pond is PERFECT for barn wedding ceremonies!

According to Taylor’s brother, Luca, everyone is set for the ceremony to begin!

Here comes the bride!

Truly the day couldn’t have been more perfect! It was sunny but definitely breezy which helped everyone stay cool!

Taylor’s uncle included the sweetest detail in their handfasting ceremony… their dog Olive!

You may now kiss the bride!

Bridal Party and Bride & Groom Photos

Both of Ryan’s sisters and both of Taylor’s brothers were in the Bridal Party!

Ryan and Taylor met each other as kids… literally! They were both 5 years old! They started dating in high school and Ryan proposed to her last July at Niagara Falls!

Taylor and Ryan’s families naturally became close friends throughout the years. It was such a neat dynamic at their wedding because it wasn’t like two families coming together as strangers but old friends celebrating together!

Corrine McAuliffe was Taylor and her bridesmaid’s makeup artist and she did a great job!

Reception Introductions

The cake and cupcakes were done by the Patisserie!

Ryan twirled Taylor as they entered their barn wedding reception!

Their First Dance was so sweet!

Brittney Lelonek of Bridal Lash Studio in Baldwinsville did an amazing job on Taylor’s hair!

Mother Son Dance

Father Daughter Dance

Starting the Father Daughter dance with a slow moving song was sweet… but then they pivoted and went into a really fun mashup!

Taylor’s brother’s speeches were hilarious… especially when they asked him to chug a Smirnoff with them!

Golden Hour provided us with AMAZING light for a few extra portraits after dinner! The hydrangeas outside the barn was a perfect spot for a few of these!

But the pasture was the BEST spot for sunny barn wedding photos!

Look at how much fun they have together!

The fun and dancing was brought to you by Select Receptions DJing!

Olive was even part of their wedding festivities! Love this photo of the three of them!

Ah! The expressions during the bouquet toss never disappoint!

Check out the color in these sunset photos! Taylor and Ryan had every kind of amazing light for their barn wedding!

Their sparkler exit and night time shot was a great way to end an amazing day!

Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs and thanks for allowing Andrew and I to celebrate with you and your families! We wish you the very best in this new chapter of your lives together!
