Finger Lakes Wedding | Scott & Channing

Groom and bride kiss on the steps on the back lawn of Belhurst Castle in GEneva NY

I’m so excited to invite you into Scott and Channing’s Finger Lakes wedding at Belhurst Castle in Geneva, NY! This past weekend may have been the end of September but it was a WARM day! Here are some of Channing’s beautiful wedding details!

Bridal Getting Ready

Can you please check out Channing’s amazing engagement ring (above) and her awesome “something blue” shoes? Now those are totally something I could see myself wearing!

Groom Getting Ready

Here are some of Scott’s details!

Scott and Channing each wrote each other a note. We made sure to put that note reading on their timeline so Andrew and I were sure to capture those moments! Just so sweet!

First Look

I always love when a couple chooses to do a First Look for so many reasons! One of which is that it’s the only “alone time” you’ll likely have all day, it helps relieve nerves, the groom feels more comfortable really reacting to his bride AND can actually tell her how beautiful she looks (he can’t do that during the ceremony!) and that usually means we get about 40% more portraits! You can see here how Scott and Channing reacted to seeing one another… one of the sweetest First Looks ever!

For a Finger Lakes wedding, Belhurst Castle in Geneva, NY, as always, has SO many great spots for photos!

I just love these two! Before their wedding we went out for dinner and drinks together and had SO much fun! Before we knew it, it had been 2 1/2 hours and we had been chatting and laughing together the whole time!

Truly it makes all the difference to me to be friends with my couples. Channing said something similar to me at the end of their wedding day. She said, “you were right, it made such a difference today having you here as a friend. It made everything so much more comfortable!” 100%, I couldn’t agree more from my end either!

Just getting to know these two from their engagement session and our meetings and dinner together, I can see how amazing they are together as a couple! Where ever Channing leaves off, Scott picks up and vice versa. They are such an amazing team.

Channing’s bridal bouquet as well as her bridesmaids were done by Rachel at In Bloom Canandaigua, NY!

Isn’t Channing just STUNNING?! Her hair and makeup were done by the ladies at Isabella Spa and Salon that is located right in the castle!

Can we call Scott stunning? No? Ok how about handsome as all get out!! 🙂

The expressiveness of these two! Oh my gosh…

I LOVE this one of Channing in front of the castle in her gorgeous wedding dress! So elegant!

I just can’t get over how gorgeous these flowers are!

Some of the cutest flower girls and ring bearer!

Spinning is the name of the game when you have a pretty dress on!

The Wedding Party

Navy blue, vintage rose and burgundy were the colors of the wedding and I thought they were perfect for their late September wedding day!

They all looked so classy together!

After we had done lots of wedding pictures at the castle, we walked down to the lake and the docks for a few more! The walkway was wet, so Scott carried Channing part of the way down! So sweet!

But for real, I think this is my favorite picture of the two of them all day!!

Onto the wedding ceremony on the lawn behind the castle!

The Ceremony

I just had to include the two photos below. Channing’s sister and her family weren’t feeling well the week before the wedding and everyone was so disappointed they couldn’t attend. Although Facetime isn’t the same as being in person, they were still able to watch the ceremony virtually. 🙂

The kiddos… A.DORABLE!

Channing and her mom walking down the aisle!

The look on Scott’s face here!… priceless.

I will never get used to the joy and excitement that comes on a wedding day!

The Reception – Belhurst Castle Ballroom

Scott and Channing chose to do a Sweetheart table for their reception in the castle ballroom! And their wedding cake by Bagels and Cakes in Geneva was just gorgeous!

It’s my favorite when a groom spins his bride across the dance floor with a dip kiss at the end to top it off!

The Mother Son Dance!

Part way through the song, Scott’s mom turned the dance over to Scott’s sister and close friend!

Golden Hour Portraits

We snuck outside for a quick five minutes before dinner during golden hour!

Wow, I haven’t seen such an amazing cake smash in a long time! HILARIOUS!

Party Dancing

Our DJ for the evening was Brain with Just Wright Entertainment!

The moon over the lake that evening was AMAZING!!!

I had been looking forward to Scott and Channing’s day all wedding season! Thank you for allowing Andrew and I to be a part of your day guys!
