Welcome to Amanda and Dan’s sunny Emerson Park engagement pictures blog post! These two were up in NY for just a few short days from their home in Dallas, so we had limited evenings in which to do their pictures.
Fleming Side of Emerson Park
It has been so rainy lately that I wasn’t sure if I could depend on the weather being good for the evening that we scheduled their Emerson Park engagement pictures, but it turned out so perfect!
Aren’t they the cutest together?!
Amanda and Dan actually DROVE all the way up from Dallas because they were picking up their new PUPPY Ellie! Isn’t she sssooo cute?! Amanda and Dan are doing a great job of training both dogs since so many people in Dallas bring their dogs around to public places. They wanted to be able to do the same and have well behaved dogs!
I totally love the story of how they met. It goes something like this. Amanda had a close friend named Katie, who had an older brother named Dan. Dan came home from college here and there and Amanda saw him around until he gradated and moved to Dallas. Amanda happened to be in Dallas for a week long training and texted Katie, mentioning that she was there. Katie responded with, “you should get a hold of my brother and have him show you around the city!” Apparently Katie wasn’t trying to set them up, but after spending an evening together with Dan, Amanda thought, “Wow, that is the most fun I have ever had with another person!”

After texting Katie to get her approval for dating her older brother, they dated long distance until Amanda gradated college and transferred to her company’s Dallas office to be with him!
Dan gets bonus points in my book because he actually hired a “proposal company” to help him plan, set up and coordinate the proposal. From a romantic tent set up, charcuterie board and wine and a professional photographer, that is how he asked Amanda to marry him! Amanda even sent me a few of the pictures and I loved it!
Look at how much fun they truly have together!
These two will be getting married in late April at St. Mary’s Church in Skaneateles with their reception held at The Lodge at Welch Allyn!
So it seemed perfect to do their engagement pictures at Emerson Park in Auburn, NY because of the lake and the architectural elements there.
To all of Amanda and Dan’s friends and family who have come by to check out their Emerson Park engagement pictures, thank you for stopping by! If you’d like to see more of my work, you can check out my engagements or weddings! And if you’d like to drop me a line, you can do so here! And to Amanda and Dan, I am so glad we were able to get to know each other better during your session! I’m so looking forward to your wedding day next year!
