Welcome to the first Syracuse spring family pictures session of the season! Who else is SO excited to have seen the sun and watched the snow melt? My husband who is originally from the Philadelphia area can’t believe we are still getting snow here and there in April. I told him, “welcome to Syracuse, NY babe!”
I’ve known this sweet family since I was a little girl and had the great pleasure of photographing Jen and Cody’s wedding (the couple pictured directly below) in 2018! Now of course they have a little boy, as does Jen’s brother Brian and his wife!
Last fall I was able to do an extended family session for Jen’s husband’s family, Cody! During that session his sister Chelsea was proposed to by her boyfriend! I, of course, was in on the secret and was SO excited to capture it and it was the sweetest moment! To check out her surprise proposal you can find it here!
But this session was for Jen’s side of the family!… originally just her parents, her older brother Brian and younger sister Katie. These few pictures here are Katie and her boyfriend Gavin!… they’re so adorable together!
Of course just mom and dad need some spotlight attention as well!
I love these “just the girls” shots! And man, did they nail it on coordinating pastel and spring colored outfits! I was so impressed!
Hoopes Park in Auburn, NY is one of my go to places for Syracuse spring family pictures because so many of the trees there have white or pink blossoms on them! Just GORGEOUS!
You may ask, “what is an extended family session”? Essentially it’s a handful of mini sessions of the same family! It usually is a session of parents and their kids who have grown up, gotten married and had kids of their own.
So of course I got photos of just mom and dad, then I got pictures of Jen and Cody’s family, then Brian and Kaylee’s family, Katie and Gavin… everyone got their own little mini session!
Just the guys… really in an extended family session we can get all the combinations of people you want!
Ah! This sequence with dad and his girls… priceless!
A proud Grandma and Grandpa… a must have for Syracuse spring family pictures!
Sibling love!
The whole crew!… even the kids sat still for a minute to get this picture! Score!
Oh my gosh… the cousin hugs have started! I just loved that!
I really loved this unique combination of just the siblings and their significant others! Such a great looking group!
To the mom and dad who started it all… it was such an honor to be able to photograph your family! They had shared with me that they haven’t had family photos done since their youngest was about two years old! So I am so honored to be the one to do some updated pictures for them! Thank you guys!
