I am so excited that you’ve come by to check out Gabby and Shawn’s Upper Onondaga Park Syracuse engagement pictures blog post! Truly you might think that we did these photos in the spring, but we did them just last week… mid October!  The last few sessions I’ve done at Upper Onondaga Park in Syracuse haven’t been engagement pictures and I haven’t really had a chance to use this amazing stone bridge in a while!  We made sure to take full advantage of it for their session!

The Bridge

I LOVED the dress that Gabby found online for their photos!  Prior to their session Gabby had asked me for outfit advice.  In the Team Hawkins Bridal Guide that I give every one of my brides is at least six pages on helpful information on outfits and other things that help you prep for your engagement session! After looking at the guide, Gabby told me that she found it super helpful!  Team Hawkins Bridal Guide for the win!

Gabby and Shawn got engaged at Disney World (in front of the castle!) and she was totally surprised!  She shared with me at their engagement session that she had worn a really cute (but not so cute for pictures) red Mickey Mouse sweatshirt that day.  If she had known he was going to propose she might have worn something else. 🙂  Shawn got the attention of one of the park photographers before he popped the question and so they have some sweet photos from the moment!  If I remember right, I think she said they celebrated that night with dinner at the Be Our Guest restaurant in the Magic Kingdom!

Even though they said they don’t dance, I think Gabby and Shawn have this twirling bit down pat!

The Weeping Willows

Every time I shoot near these weeping willows I always think of the “Kiss de Girl” song in the Little Mermaid.  I know I’m a child at heart that I think in terms of Disney movies but hey, sometimes it’s more fun to be a child at heart!

I LOVED this sequence of Gabby and Shawn walking together!  So adorable the smiles they gave each other!

You can’t tell from this distance but Shawn has Mickey Mouses on his socks.  So fun!
