The Experience, start to finish

As you think about all your wedding planning and juggling many things in the days leading up to your big day, you’re probably wondering what to expect from your photographer and how to plan it all out! Let’s say that while you were looking for a photographer, you came across my site, gave me a call, found out I was available on your day and we set up a meeting! From here on out, this is an idea of what you could expect working with me.

Our First Meeting

We’ll meet over video (or in person if you’d like!) and spend time getting to know you as a couple — how you met, how the proposal happened, and what you’re dreaming up for your wedding day. We’ll talk through the flow of your day, what matters most to you, and answer all your questions along the way.

After our call, I’ll send you a follow-up email with a rough wedding day timeline (a little bonus!) and a link to your custom proposal.

When You Book

Your custom proposal will be waiting in your inbox. Simply click the link to choose your collection on the first tab, review and sign the contract on the second, and submit your booking fee through the invoice on the third.

Once that’s complete, your wedding date is officially on my calendar — in permanent marker. From there, we’ll stay in touch as your plans come together, and I’ll be here to guide you every step of the way.

From Booking Date – 1 Month Before Wedding

During this season, we’ll plan and photograph your engagement session, and you’ll hear from me along the way — sometimes just to check in and see how planning is going. Those little check-ins often spark great questions, and you’re always welcome to ask anything, photography-related or not.

As plans evolve — timelines, locations, or details — this is the perfect time to keep me in the loop so everything stays smooth and stress-free.

Be sure to follow along on Social Media!  It's where I share your sneak peeks, link to the blog post of your engagement session and wedding, highlights and updates!  You can find me using the social links on this page.

And, when your session and/or wedding is complete, keep an eye out for your blog post on my website and be ready to share it with friends and family!

From 1 Month – Wedding Day

About a month before your wedding, I’ll send you a Wedding Details Questionnaire. This helps me gather all the important information — key contacts, family and wedding party names, special people you want photographed, ceremony guidelines, vendor details, and any family dynamics I should be aware of — so I can show up fully prepared and capture everything that matters most to you.

Once you send your questionnaire back, I’ll have plenty of time to plan for your day. About two weeks before the wedding, we’ll schedule a final meeting to walk through details and lock in your timeline, allowing space for plans to naturally evolve.

The day before your wedding is all about prep on my end. When the big day arrives, we’ll arrive early, get our bearings — and then it’s go time. Let’s get you married!

1 Week After Your Wedding

Within about 48 hours of your wedding, I’ll share sneak peeks on social media so you can relive the day right away. Within a week, your wedding will be featured on the blog with a full highlight — over 60 images ready to be shared and enjoyed with friends and family.

About 3 Months From Wedding Day

After your wedding, I’ll be hard at work carefully editing your images. While your contract allows up to 90 days for delivery, I always aim to have your full gallery ready within about 4–6 weeks.

If your collection includes a Storybook Album, I’ll design that first and send you proofs so you can make any changes you’d like. From there, you’ll receive your full gallery and we’ll move into selecting and ordering wall art if you wish.

One of my favorite parts of this job is that it doesn’t always end at the wedding. I love staying in touch with my couples — and it’s not uncommon to hear from you again when new seasons arrive, like maternity or newborn photos. Friendships are truly one of the best parts of what I do.

As you’ve read through this section, I hope you have a much clear picture of what to expect working with Andrew and I! Like I always say, if you have questions send me an email!
