Bridal Details and Getting Ready
Welcome to Tyler and Karissa’s Chantelle Marie wedding pictures blog post! Andrew and I were so honored to be invited to be a part of their wedding day. Now I know what you’re thinking, “Hannah, you always say that”. You’re right, I always feel honored to be a part of a couple’s wedding day but this one was different. You see, Andrew and I photographed her twin sister’s wedding back in 2018. So for Karissa to love her sister’s pictures enough to ask me to also photograph her wedding just floored me.
In fact, I recall Karissa messaging me on Instagram in 2020, long before she got engaged, asking what my wedding availability was for the summer of 2022. I was trying to piece it all together. She said her boyfriend didn’t want to plan a wedding until he was done with the Army but she was reaching out because, she said, “I want to use you guys so badly!” Ahhh dots connected! We would love to photograph your wedding!
Karissa’s aunt, who is a florist, did an AMAZING job on all bride and bridesmaid’s flowers as well as all the florals on the tables at the reception! I even asked Karissa if her aunt had a few leftover blooms if she would allow me to use them for the flat lay pictures! Don’t you just love what these flowers bring to these pictures?!
Andrew and I felt not only like friends, but family that day. Part of that was thanks to Karissa’s dad, who started teasing Andrew and I from the moment we arrived at the church. Seriously such a fun day!
I am SO glad it worked out that we could be there for your wedding Karissa and Tyler!
The bride and bridesmaid’s hair was done by Chick’s Hair Salon!
Here is Karissa and her sister Nicole… bride and Matron of Honor!
Daddy Daughter First Look
The Daddy Daughter First Looks always get me! No words are needed for these pictures.
Bridal Portraits
The detailing on Karissa’s wedding dress and train was just exquisite!
I also loved how much fun the bridesmaids had together!
Another fun detail is that Karissa wore her sister’s veil for her wedding!
The Groom
Here’s Tyler, suiting up and getting ready for the wedding ceremony!
Between Tyler and his groomsmen, every one of them either hunt or fish. So the duck feather boutonnieres and the shotgun shell tie clips were very much “on brand” for them!
The Church Ceremony
Tyler and Karissa were married at their family’s church Immanuel United Methodist Church in Camillus.
Tyler’s face when Karissa came down the aisle was the sweetest!
This Flower Girl… no shyness in front of the camera at all. She was a photographer’s dream when it came to taking her picture! So adorable!
The ring bearers also did their best to hold it together during the ceremony. I have little boys, I know just how much work it was for them to sit still!
I now pronounce you husband and wife!
I love the bubble exit they did outside of the church following the ceremony!
The Bridal Party
Once we were done with the ceremony and family pictures at the church, we all traveled to Chantelle Marie Lakehouse and Celebration Venue in Auburn, NY along Owasco Lake! It was such a beautiful (and hot!) day! The bridal party couldn’t have been better sports about the heat!
Bride & Groom
While Chantelle Marie Celebration Venue doesn’t have lake front property, you can still very much see the lake from up the hill. I really wanted to get the lake in the background of a few photos so I employed a different lighting technique than I usually use. I love the result!
Next, the new Mr. & Mrs. took a stroll through their vineyard!
Karissa and Tyler loved this antique truck! I also loved that you can see the barn for these Chantelle Marie wedding pictures where they hold Cocktail Hour!
Finally we made our way down to their pond and bridge at the back of the property!
I just adore how Tyler makes Karissa laugh! I know that they’ll both take good care of each other as husband and wife!
I love this picture that Andrew got, framing Karissa and Tyler with these Black Eyed Susans!
I love that we got Karissa’s veil to fly in some of these Chantelle Marie wedding pictures!
Towards the end of their portrait time I took the opportunity to get a few more bridal portraits of Karissa while Andrew got a few more of Tyler!
Reception at Chantelle Marie Lakehouse & Celebration Venue
Again, see these amazing florals by Karissa’s aunt? Absolutely incredible!
I always love introductions into the reception! Karissa and Tyler were ready to party!
The First Dance
Father Daughter and Mother Son Dance
Here are the other ring bearers and flower girl from Tyler’s side of the family!
The littlest flower girl, Karissa’s niece, was such a trooper all day! I know how hard it is for a little one to hold it together all day! She was amazing!
Parents of the bride and the longest married couple in attendance at the wedding, Karissa’s grandparents!
The cutest cake topper… these pups represent Tyler and Karissa’s dogs, made custom by a family member just for them!
Inside Chantelle Marie’s barn is this adorable antique boat bar!
When Golden Hour hit, we took advantage of the amazing light and went outside for just a few more portraits!
Tyler and Karissa, thank you SO much for allowing Andrew and I to be a part of your wedding day! We loved celebrating with you, your family and friends and wish you the very best in this new chapter of your lives together! Hugs to you both!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful wedding. It really seemed like it was a fairy tale event. Loved seeing Joyce ( had her in 3 rd grade) and Tom, a special man. Wilda and Joe were so sweet.
I’m so glad you loved the pictures Donna! It really was a fairy tale wedding… Karissa and Tyler are the sweetest!
