I’m so glad you came by today to check out this sweet family’s extended family pictures blog post taken at Hoopes Park in Auburn NY! Here is the couple that “started it all”… the grandparents!
The Grandparents and Grandkids
And here are their grandkids! This sweet baby in the picture on the right was almost brand new and wasn’t enjoying his photo session much but we were all thrilled to get a picture of ALL the kids together!
Sarah’s Family
One thing I love about extended family picture sessions is that it really becomes a bit of a mini session for each individual family along with another mini session for the whole family together! That’s how I’ve broken this blog down… starting with Sarah’s family!
Their two little kiddos were SO cute in this sequence! I asked them to give each other a hug and as you can see, sister was ALL into that! Though I don’t think brother minded too much either!
The ages of their kiddos are similar to the ages of my kids and I think they’re so fun at that stage!
Rebecca’s Family
Then we have Rebecca’s family! Their baby was almost brand new and the session seemed to be a little overwhelming to him. But we still were able to get sweet pictures of them all together!
Seriously this picture gets me every time! The little ones were both so sweetly concerned about the baby while the brothers dutifully smiled for the camera! So perfect!
Tim’s Family
Tim’s family is next along with his wife and two boys! I’m telling you ALL of the kids were so well behaved and listened so well! I know that taking pictures isn’t very much fun for boys but they were certainly wonderful sports about it!
When I asked the brothers to put their arms around each other for a picture they did it so willingly! So I asked them, “Do you guys usually get along so well?” They both immediately answered with a resounding, “NO!” I laughed and laughed! They could have had me fooled!
When I look at this picture I think of the proverb that says grandchildren are a crown to the grandparents. I just love this one!
Finally, I knew we couldn’t leave the session without getting a picture of each of the married couples. They were already dressed up… they needed a picture together… just the two of them! When you have littles at home it can be so hard to focus on and give energy to the person you fell in love with. But I’ve been told by some wise people that the best way to have a healthy family is to have a healthy marriage.
Thank you so much for coming by to check out this extended family pictures blog post! If you’d like to see more of my family work you can check it out here or send me an email here! I’d love to get to know your family during a session!
