Disney’s Boardwalk Photos | Matt & McKennah’s Christmas Engagement Session

From the moment we started planning their session, I knew Matt and McKennah’s Disney’s Boardwalk photos were going to be something truly special — joyful, heartfelt, and filled with that extra bit of Disney magic that feels like home.

A Warm, Radiant Morning on the Boardwalk

We kicked off their session outside the Screen Door General Store — one of my favorite corners for Disney’s Boardwalk photos. The arches, the soft curves in the architecture, the leading lines of the railings along the water… everything worked together to frame them in the dreamiest way. The soft morning light made it even better.

These two woke up before the sun and drove hours to meet me for their engagement session at Disney’s Boardwalk!

Matt and McKennah are big Disney fans (they even have their own YouTube channel full of amazing Disney travel tips!), so I wasn’t surprised for even a second when they chose one of the most iconic resort areas for their photos.

The Cake Bake Shop Magic

One of my absolute favorite sets of images came right outside the new(ish) Cake Bake Shop!

The white exterior gave us the cleanest backdrop, and the Christmas trees and twinkle lights added so much depth and sparkle

Speaking of sparkle!… check out the ring Matt gave McKennah!!! Just gorgeous!

Their Disney’s Boardwalk photos in this spot honestly feel like they belong on a postcard.

Matt and McKennah were such good sports, even when they felt absolutely ridiculous doing the “drunk walk” prompt. (It’s always a fan favorite — and yes, it always looks adorable!)

A Walk Toward the Gazebo

Next, we wandered toward the gazebo between the Boardwalk and Epcot’s International Gateway — the same spot where Disney sometimes hosts intimate weddings.

It’s one of the prettiest, most tucked-away areas for Disney’s Boardwalk photos, and the natural framing was perfect.

I just love the way these two have fun together!

Christmas Outfits & Holiday Magic

Once they changed into their Christmas outfits, the Boardwalk came alive in a whole new way.

Every corner was decorated for the season, and it gave us so many opportunities for warm, festive, joy-filled images.

Their Disney’s Boardwalk photos from this part of the session feel especially radiant — full of color, texture, and that unmistakable holiday glow.

Disney’s Boardwalk always hits a nostalgic chord for me — it reminds me of the trips Andrew and I took to the Jersey Shore when we were newly married. There’s something about the boardwalk atmosphere that feels timeless, sentimental, and full of life. Being able to photograph these two here brought back all those sweet memories.

Looking Ahead to Next December

I am so excited for Matt and McKennah’s wedding next December at Whitewood Ranch!

I’m grateful they made the drive, grateful for the laughter we shared, and grateful I get to tell a small part of their story through these images.

Matt & McKennah — thank you for choosing me, trusting me, and letting me capture your engagement session. I enjoyed spending the morning with you both!

And thank YOU for swinging by to show Matt & McKennah love and support! If you’re engaged, check out more about us here and then please be sure to say hi!
