Victoria 1883 New Smyrna Beach | A Signature Weekend

Victoria 1883 New Smyrna Beach is one of the most unique venues I’ve had the honor to photograph at. Imagine stepping back in time to a property steeped in history and stories, yet carefully updated to preserve its past while offering every modern luxury.

Nestled on the riverside of New Smyrna Beach, this wedding venue and Bed & Breakfast is a place you truly have to see and experience for yourself.

Spanning over 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens, decadent patios, and cozy sneakaways, Victoria 1883 invites guests into an imaginative and intentional experience—with countless opportunities for breathtaking photos.

Built around 1883, this iconically beautiful home is the longest standing structure in New Smyrna Beach’s quaint historic district, and today it continues to welcome couples, families, and friends with warmth and hospitality.

I had the joy of photographing Victoria 1883’s Signature Weekend, celebrating its third year in business. The event unfolded over two evenings, each one highlighting the charm of the property and the thoughtfulness of its owners, Fabiola and Pete.

An Evening in the Speakeasy

The Signature Weekend began on Friday with a wine tasting tucked away in Victoria 1883’s hidden speakeasy.

Guests first gathered in the main house living room before being guided—pair by pair—out to discover the speakeasy on their own.

Subtle hints like a rabbit over the door…

and an old hitching post gave clues to its location.

What was once a carriage house turned garage has now been transformed by Pete and Fabiola into one of the most atmospheric lounges in town.

Each guest was welcomed with their own personal charcuterie board, thoughtfully prepared to include both snacks and pairings for specific wines.

Our guide for the evening, wine expert Michelle Morgese, brought such knowledge and joy to the tasting, helping everyone learn not only about the wines themselves but also how each paired beautifully with the food.

Between the candlelit charm of the speakeasy and the centuries-old live oaks draped with Spanish moss just outside, Victoria 1883 New Smyrna Beach felt like the perfect blend of history and celebration.

A Private Chef Dinner in the Dining Room

The second evening unfolded with a graceful pour and amuse bouche, accompanied by the soft strains of live jazz drifting through the East Garden.

Guests mingled outdoors, sipping their drinks and stealing a few sweet moments for photos together as couples.

Golden sunlight filtered through the centuries-old oaks, their branches draped with Spanish moss, casting a glow that felt nothing short of magical.

The music, led by Tyler Rosenke and his band TRio, added a soulful layer to the night. Based right here in New Smyrna Beach, their sound is a local treasure—you can often find them performing at Arts on Douglas during the monthly Canal Street Art Walk, as well as at weddings, charity galas, private celebrations, and festivals.

Dinner was hosted inside the main house dining room, where tables were styled with the most beautiful florals by Springvine Design in NSB, pomegranates, and artfully set place settings.

Each of the three courses was paired with estate-selected wines, and the entire evening felt both luxurious and intimate.

I especially loved capturing behind-the-scenes moments of the chef at work and the stunning dishes as they came together.

To finish the night, guests returned to the speakeasy for desserts and affogato—because really, espresso and ice cream is the perfect way to end an evening!

The Magic of Victoria 1883

Victoria 1883 New Smyrna Beach is breathtaking during the day, but at twilight, it becomes truly otherworldly. Between the 500-year-old live oak trees, the trickling fountain in the courtyard, and the rich tones of burgundy and plum woven throughout the weekend’s design, every corner of this venue felt like stepping into a storybook.

Fabiola and Pete were the warmest of hosts, inviting each guest to experience Victoria 1883 with all five senses. Whether you are looking for a historic, one-of-a-kind wedding venue or an unforgettable weekend stay in New Smyrna Beach, Victoria 1883 is a place that will capture both your heart and imagination.
