Amy and Randy’s engagement session featuring Disney’s Polynesian Resort photos was an absolute dream, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you! From the very first photo, their casual, easygoing nature shined through. And what better place to capture their love story than with Disney’s Polynesian Resort Photos—the perfect blend of romance, tropical vibes, and Disney magic.
Tropical Resort Grounds
One of the best parts about taking Disney’s Polynesian Resort Photos is the variety of tropical backdrops. From the hibiscus blooms to the tiki torches lining the pathways, everywhere you turn feels like paradise.

From our very first conversation, Amy and Randy mentioned that they wanted their photos at Disney. While the theme parks themselves don’t allow photography sessions, Disney Resorts do—and the Polynesian Resort is one of my absolute favorites. Its Hawaiian-inspired atmosphere is so lush and inviting, and as a special touch, Randy shared that he actually used to work at the Polynesian! It made the session feel even more personal as he pointed out little details and stories about the resort.

Amy and Randy especially wanted a photo with the monorail, which was such a fun challenge! The Polynesian is part of the Magic Kingdom monorail loop, so we paused for just the right moment to catch it zipping by.

Their laughter as we all waited made those shots even more memorable.

Bay Lake Beach & Bungalows
From the gardens, we strolled down to the sandy beach near the bungalows. This spot is so unique because it gives you views of Cinderella’s Castle, Space Mountain, and the ferryboats crossing Bay Lake. It’s a slice of Disney magic without ever stepping into the park itself.

I loved the joy in both Amy and Randy’s face during this “twirl photo”!

These beachy Disney’s Polynesian Resort Photos were some of my favorites—romantic, relaxed, and full of gorgeous light. I especially loved the torch-lit walkway that made the evening feel extra cozy and intimate.

Dock & Marina Views
As the sun began to set, we wandered out onto the dock and marina area.

The lights around the water created beautiful leading lines, and we had views of the Grand Floridian and the Wedding Pavilion in the distance.

The ring that Randy picked out for Amy is just beautiful!!!

The Story Behind the Couple
Amy and Randy’s story started on the Hinge app—where Amy was the one to send the first message. Their first date was effortless, lasting nearly two hours, and Randy knew right away he wanted to see her again. He loved that Amy shared his love for pets, family, and an easygoing lifestyle. That same natural connection came through during their session—by the end, their laughter together was contagious!

This part of the Polynesian truly shows the variety you can get from a single session: tropical gardens, sandy beaches, and nautical dockside charm all in one gallery.

At sunset, the sky over Bay Lake turned incredible shades of pink and orange, and with off-camera flash, I was able to make those colors pop. The fact that you can see Disney’s Wedding Pavilion in the background was an awesome perk! It was such a magical finale.

We wrapped up with a few photos of Amy and Randy with Cinderella’s Castle in the background, just before the fireworks began. It was the perfect ending and proof that Disney’s Polynesian Resort Photos can feel every bit as enchanting as ones taken inside the parks.
