Overflowing with love, redemption, and intentional moments, their day felt like a true reflection of their journey together. Asya wore a bracelet from her mother and a ring from her grandmother—sentimental heirlooms that added to the emotion of the day.

The couple got ready right on-site at the Lakeside Inn, a historic gem nestled in the heart of downtown Mount Dora. Built in 1883, the Lakeside Inn is Florida’s oldest continuously operating hotel and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its classic Southern charm and prime location on the edge of Lake Dora make it a favorite for couples planning a romantic and timeless Mount Dora wedding.

Vic’s daughter, Sienna, played such a meaningful role in their wedding day. This wasn’t just about Asya and Vic making vows to each other—it was also about Asya making a heartfelt commitment to Sienna.

One of my favorite shots from the day? A romantic dip kiss beneath the large live oak tree draped in Spanish moss. It felt like something out of a Southern fairytale.

Wedding Reception at the Lakeside Inn

Asya, in true DIY fashion, hand-crafted every single floral arrangement in the early hours in the months leading up to the wedding—talk about dedication! The sweetheart and cake tables were styled beautifully with the help of Bridget from SMS Event Design and Kristen from the Lakeside Inn team.

Every element, from the tablescape to the live music during the first dance (courtesy of Vic’s talented cousins), was filled with personal touches.

The reception was full of joy, laughter, and love. Vic’s dance with his daughter was absolutely precious, and the open mic-style toasts had everyone both laughing and tearing up.

DJ Cali kept the dance floor alive all night long.

One unforgettable moment was when Vic brought out his newly-acquired Kyber lightsaber—any fellow Star Wars fans would’ve loved it! We snuck out at dusk to grab some fun, cinematic shots, and he completely lit up (no pun intended). It was the perfect blend of personality and playfulness.

Their sparkler exit was the perfect end to a heartfelt and unforgettable Mount Dora wedding. Watching them walk hand-in-hand through a tunnel of glowing light felt like the grand finale to a truly special day at the Lakeside Inn.
