As a New Smyrna Beach photographer, I’m always excited to capture the unique love stories of couples, especially when their friendship is as genuine as Maryland and Rob’s.

Their journey began online, where it didn’t take long for them to realize they had something special.

The moment that truly sealed the deal for Maryland was when Rob made the drive all the way from the west coast of Florida to meet her at her church in Orlando. This was not just any meeting—Rob attended her church with her, a gesture that impressed Maryland and showed his sincere interest in her life and walk with the Lord.

Since then, Rob has come to love the church and they now attend together regularly!

Given their shared love for the beach, it was no surprise when Maryland and Rob decided on a beachside sunset wedding on Madiera Beach, followed by a yacht reception!

It came as no surprise to me then, they wanted their engagement session to reflect their love for the ocean as well. Despite the distance, they drove over an hour and a half to meet me at Smyrna Dunes Park in New Smyrna Beach, FL. The park offers so much beauty, from the expansive boardwalk loop, the plethora of wildlife, to the breathtaking views of the Ponce De Leon Inlet Lighthouse.

The lighthouse in the distance added a touch of historic charm to their photos and it was something Maryland requested in particular!

As a New Smyrna Beach photographer, it’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. Maryland and Rob’s love story is a testament to the power of God in their lives and how He brought them together.
