What started as just Casey and Rochelle…

… is now a family of 5.

Over the years as I’ve had my own kids, I’ve come to really love family photography. Bringing out the personalities of each kiddo and their parents is such fun.

I know how much our family pictures mean to me and being able to capture the sweet family dynamics for other families is such an honor.

New Smyrna Beach family photography is always a delight, especially at Grayce K Barck Community Park! Curious why? The park boasts diverse backgrounds and versatile settings perfect for family photos, regardless of the lighting.

Wooden Walkover Bridge to New Smyrna Beach

The wooden bridge leading to the beach is an excellent spot for incorporating creative framing beautiful surroundings for portraits, especially on cloudy days.

… the sand dunes are also gorgeous whether its sunny or cloudy, providing more color and dimension to New Smyrna Beach family photography.

Also as you’ll see towards the end of this blog, including the ocean in family pictures is always a must.

I think my favorite moments to capture during New Smyrna Beach family photography are the unposed, candid ones like the one below.

The smile on Little Miss R!… she’s such a ham!

When taking family photos with kids, you can never predict exactly what they’ll do. I’ve learned to set up moments as best as I can and then go with the flow. The photo below was a complete improvisation when the youngest came over to say hi to me! I think it’s one of my favorite pictures from Casey and Rochelle’s entire session!

Oh and this photo… also one of my favorites! Hats off to whichever parent picked out the girl’s outfits!

New Smyrna Beach Family Photography on the Ocean

The natural smiles on Casey and his girls’ faces are just priceless!

Casey and Rochelle have been such a blessing to our family since we moved to Central Florida! They welcomed us to our new church, helped us connect with the community and ministry, and have become dear friends. Andrew and I are so grateful for them!

When doing New Smyrna Beach family photography, I always make sure to save doing pictures by the water till the end of the session. Because if your kids are anything like my kids, they’ll inevitably want to go play in the water and get wet!
