I am just THRILLED to share Vanessa and Logan’s Old Forge NY engagement pictures with you!  When Vanessa and Logan told me that they got engaged up on the Moose River in Old Forge, NY I started to get really excited.  I always tell my couples that we are pretty limited on where we can take pictures on their wedding day because of time constraints but the engagement session… now that’s a whole other deal!  The sky’s the limit for their engagement session!  And so after a busy wedding weekend I hopped in my car with my sweet mom as a traveling buddy and off we went!

The first location we took pictures at was Vanessa’s parents camp along the Okara Lakes.  I just LOVED the Adirondack swinging love seat in the background of the picture above!

AND we had SUNSHINE that day!  Which makes the leaves look that much more colorful I think!

I also just love the photos we were able to get with little Leo!  He’ll do anything for treats!

Our second location for shooting was on the Moose River!  In Vanessa’s own words, “Logan proposed to me on the Moose River in Old Forge this past 4th of July. We have been kayaking on the Moose River every 4th of July for the past 6 years and it’s become a tradition for us to eat on bridge overlooking the river.”

“The first year, I took Logan on the river before he even knew how to kayak but ever since then we’ve loved kayaking together! This year was our sixth time kayaking on the river and he proposed to me on the bridge that we always eat lunch on! It was super sweet and the perfect place to propose.”  I just loved their story and was so excited to incorporate that into their engagement pictures in Old Forge NY!

These two certainly know how to laugh together!

Towards the end of their session, Vanessa asked if we could come down to this particular spot on the river where they put their kayaks in every year!

I think this is one of my very favorite pictures of the whole session because of Vanessa and Logan’s laughter!

I just loved that Vanessa brought along sunflowers for their session!  It was such a cute addition that gave me another “detail” to capture!

And can you believe the foliage?  I thought we’d be shooting before peak season but I think we hit the nail right on the head and caught it at the perfect time!

I am so excited to capture Vanessa and Logan’s wedding day at Wolf Oak Acres next year!  They were so sweet and thankful that I traveled a ways to meet them… they even offered me a cup of coffee!  That’s my kind of couple!  ;).
