Welcome!

Welcome to the wedding blog post of Marcin and Melissa!  With all the rain we’ve had this spring, I didn’t know if it was ever going to get warm and sunny but wouldn’t you know that Marcin and Melissa had the PERFECT weather for a wedding day!  It was basically sunny and 75… just like in the country song!

Getting Ready

Melissa and her bridesmaids got ready right at Belhurst Castle in a room that overlooked the lake.  Melissa even got a sneak peek of her groom through her window as the groomsmen were outside on the lawn doing photos with Andrew!

Here is Marcin getting ready as well!

Portrait Time!

I’m not sure what Andrew said to make Marcin and his groomsmen laugh but I loved this sequence of photos!

 

After a few pictures at Belhurst, the groomsmen all headed off to St. Stephen’s Church in Geneva, NY!

Meanwhile, the bridesmaids were back at Belhurst doing their own pictures with me!

The Ceremony

Then I and the bridesmaids were off to the church as well!  I loved the sweet emotion throughout the entire wedding ceremony and how excited these two were to be married!

Bride and Groom Portraits

The other half of Team Hawkins… Andrew getting this shot framed by a rocking chair on the lawn of White Springs Manor, one of Belhurst Castle’s hotels!

I had so much fun with Marcin and Melissa as I gave them things to do and ways to interact while I took their pictures instead of having them stand still!  That way we got them genuinely interacting and having fun together!

Andrew may have gotten a few of me having fun too!

When I first met Marcin and Melissa, they told me they had booked Belhurst Castle for their wedding for two main reasons… the lake and their vineyards!  So after we were done shooting in the vineyards at White Springs Manor, we headed back to the castle and down to the docks on Seneca Lake!

The Reception

Once we had finished with photos, their reception started with the introductions by Eric with RD Entertainment and onto their EPIC First Dance!

Melissa and her dad shared a special Father Daughter dance…

Then Marcin and his mom had their Mother Son dance.  Marcin’s parents and Marcin immigrated from Poland when he was only 10 years old and since moving here they have worked hard to build their lives and businesses!  The things I learned about both Marcin and Melissa during the toasts was so impressive!  That’s not the only thing that was impressive… their dance together was so fun and creative!  They started the dance with a waltz but half way through switched to Gangnam style!

Night Time Photos!

We snuck outside for a few night time pictures!  Marcin and Melissa did have a sparkler exit but they said they’d rather have a few different pictures with sparklers instead of the exit itself.  Man, what a fun, involved process it was to get this picture!  Their videographer Joe who shoots for Justin Mayer of Mayer Video got some footage of us running around and around Marcin and Melissa like maniacs with a sparkler!  If that footage turns out, I’ll be posting it on my Instagram account (follow me here!) . And finally we did a few more dramatic shots outside Belhurst Castle itself!

We were so honored to be able to celebrate with Marcin and Melissa on their wedding day!  We wish you two the very best as you begin your married life together!
